Calvary Chapel Scottsdale is a place where children are taught in the ways of the Lord and loved as Christ calls us to love. All instruction is directly based on the Scriptures using fun, inventive, and creative applications to each age group. Our teachers call it a privilege to teach your child, and they understand their accountability to the Lord in this place. "And that from a child thou hast known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus." 2 Timothy 3:15 Little Lambs Newborn - Preschool Your children will be cared for and lovingly comforted. If we are unable to settle your child we will call upon you according to your instruction. We pray, sing and read a bible story with the children. We close with a simple craft or coloring sheet. Kingdom Kids Kindergarten - 1st Grade Two teachers alternate in this class. We begin with prayer and worship, and opportunities for the children to practice their memory verse and give an offering to the Lord. Then we begin the lesson. Each month we will cover a different bible story, so the children will spend 4 or 5 Sundays learning about that story. Crafts are usually a part of each lesson. Children's Church 2nd - 5th Grade We have a team of teachers that will walk your child through the Word of God. We begin each Sunday with prayer and worship. Using a rotation model to teach, we include a bible, a movie, drama, crafts, games, and experiments. "Souled Out" Junior High & High School 6th - 12th Grade We use the Word of God to encourage young teens to live for Christ. We dive expositionally into the Word and then use games and thought provoking questions to reinforce the lessons. Each year we try to offer retreats, family fellowship and a Christmas program for the children and their families. Desire to know Christ and be conformed into his image by the power of the Holy Spirit. Have an understanding that Christian fellowship is God's love in action and is greater than our differences. Worship at Calvary Chapel Scottsdale for a minimum of 4 months. This allows new families to seek the Lord and hear his instruction if this is the church home He has chosen for them. Fill out a ministry questionnaire and background check Weekly participate in a midweek service and listen to the tape from the Sunday service they missed while serving. Attend a monthly meeting for teachers for prayer and planning. Love to serve the Lord and do it all unto Him.
